The Penn Global ESG Leadership Association (PGELA) assists students at University of Pennsylvania in raising awareness about sustainability concepts, which focuses on topics related to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG). Our aim is to inspire and empower students to take theinitiative and actively participate in sustainability actions. By providing resources, guidance, and supportwe help foster a culture of environmental responsibility and sustainable practices within academiccommunities.

Five Core Departments of PGELA
Business and Career Development Committee (BCDC)
Sponsorship, business events, career counseling, collaboration with sponsors, organizing sharing sessions, providing career guidance are among the responsibilities of the Business and Career Development Committee. The association's economic backbone and strong support for member career development are provided by the committee.
General Affairs Committee (GAC)
Members of the General Affairs Committee are responsible for planning semi-annual recruitments, coordinating alumni activities, publishing the annual organizational report, as well as managing administrative affairs such as finance and ticketing, and making strategic development plans for the association. Members of GAC serve as the intelligent brain of the association.
Public Relations Committee (PRC)
The Public Relations Committee facilitates collaboration with other non-profit organizations and institutions, develops strategic partnerships, conducts joint promotional activities, prepares events. It is responsible for internal event planning and connecting members. A UN visit might also be organized by the committee. The PRC is the direct link to the association's external network.
International Office (IO)
The International Office connects PGELA with GELA, recruits volunteers globally, organizes sustainable activities such as green rides, hikes and trails, and is also responsible for international company tours. The office acts as a unique international liaison to GELA for the association.
Media Committee (MC)
This committee is responsible for managing the association's media presence, which includes creating and maintaining content on WeChat, REDnote, LinkedIn, Instagram and other platforms, preparing event videos, taking photographs, and communicating with external media platforms.
